When Tae-Bum Mo of Korea pulled off a surprise victory to win the gold medal in men’s 500-meter speed skating on Feb. 15, Dutch fans of the sport paid him homage by throwing a helmet with a gaudy floral pattern onto the ice. “So I just put it onto my head to celebrate,” Mo told Reuters.
